Is the Media hiding a "civil war" in America?

The lack of integrity in the national media is clearly visible in the reporting regarding any policy or achievement of President Bush. Even after neraly two terms, leadership by principle rather than popular opinion still grates at their core.

I have wondered why is it that one can turn on any news program or news update and get a nearly hourly update of the casualties in Iraq but there is seldom a mention of the number of Americans that are slaughtered in this country each day. What if we would dare to report with the same fervor on the number of murders occuring in this country every day? Maybe then the national media would have to ask a liberal or democrat what substantive plan they have for addressing crime in this country. Since they claim that there is a civil war in Iraq when most of Iraq is peaceful and being rebuilt with American and British lead assistance, what would they call the violence taking place our cities?

The FBI reported earlier this year that the overall crime rate is down in so over the last year however the murder rate is up. Our media and paid position consultants quickly glossed over that to make sure that we knew that muslims were killing muslims in Iraq because if it were not for President Bush's policies they would just be being murdered silently by Sadam and buried in mass graves before CNN arrived to portray the civility of dictatorship.

Why does not 16000 murders and nonnegligent manslaughters committed in 2004 in this country get daily tabulations on the airways?

Merry Christmas - The Offense of Hope

A week ago, I saw a news report of what they called 'the wars about Christmas'. You might have seen it. In a brilliant stroke of political correctness (or lack thereof), the SeaTac Airport in Seattle decided to remove all their Christmas trees because a Jewish Rabbi threatened a lawsuit if a menorah was not added to the displays. The airport's spokesman said that they did not have time to consider all the options so they pulled the trees.
Fortunately for the rationally inclined, traveling customers and some airlines are letting them know that the true leadership is not to remove Christmas trees; they have added their own. The rabbi also said that it was not his intention to have the Christmas trees removed.
In the biblical perspective, King Herod took the same approach to the news of the birth of Jesus the Christ. Since he did not have any Christmas trees to remove, he took to killing boys 2 years old and under. However, Herod was unsuccessful and so will all those who have joined ranks to declare war on Christmas (CHRIST-mas). It is ironic that the Christmas tree is now as offensive as the manger was a few years ago. When we are lost anything that reminds us that we are lost tends to get us more irritated and annoyed.

There is hope. I am therefore taking this time to wish you a
Merry Christmas !

It is not the holiday season, it is Christmas. There would be no holiday without Christ. Let's give credit where credit is due.
The celebration of Christmas does not in anyway reduce the significance of Hanukkah or Jewish tradition; it does not take away Ramadan or prevent Muslims from worshiping in their way; it does not even affect those who choose not to celebrate anything at all. There has always been enough room for everyone. God designed it that way. It happened with those other 2 controversies: creation and free will.

The 'offense' of Christmas is that we the believers have a hope that is clearly manifested. The 'offense' of this hope is that the Christ child is the exclusive way, the truth and the life.

Share the Hope: Merry Christmas !
